We refer to our Practitioners as “professionals”. They are driven by compassion to specifically work with people with learning disabilities and autism and to have a transforming impact on their lives, empower their independence and help them to feel valued.

Our teams are always resourced using a person-centred approach. We look at skills and match both their competencies and likes, dislikes, hobbies, interests, hopes and aspirations with those of the individual that they will be supporting.

The calibre and pedigree of our Specialist Practitioners married with the person-centred nature of our approach truly proves that with the right training and individualised support we can help vulnerable people with high support needs to be safe and to flourish in the community.

We invest heavily in the ongoing care and professional development of our teams and our models of support are underpinned by the commitment and experience of our own in-house Intensive Support Team (IST), including:

  • Two Board Certified Behaviour Analysts/ Positive Behaviour Support Leads (BCBA)
  • A Lead Austism Nurse (RNLD)
  • A Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
  • A BACP Qualified Counsellor

By having a dedicated ‘in- house’ Intensive Support Team (much like a mini Multi-Disciplinary Team) we are able to offer our Practitioners confidence in complex management and decision making and ensure that they are able to:

1. Deliver and disseminate very best practice.

2. Think creatively in order to make reasonable adjustments.

3. Create capable environments.

4. Help supported individuals to exercise choice and control.

5. Encourage participation in all aspects of the community.
